Residential work is $6 per $1,000 under the 2025 fee schedule, with a $25 minimum and a $1,000 cap, and the roll-off container needs a separate $25 permit that lasts 30 days.

Higher ground, heavier design snow
The base design ground snow load for North Adams is 60 pounds per square foot. The code ties that figure to a mean elevation of 1,250 feet and adds 0.021 psf for every foot above it, so a house partway up the Hoosac Range or toward Mount Williams is designed for more snow than one in the Hoosic River valley downtown.
